Molar mass estimate of dark matter from the dark mass distribution measurements

چکیده

We study the distribution of dark matter versus visible matter using a set of data obtained from strong gravitational lensing in the galaxy cluster CL0024+1654 and another set of data inferred from the universal rotation curves in spiral galaxies. The important feature of these two dramatically different observations is that the mass density profile of both visible and dark components can be estimated. From these measurements we deduce the mass of the dark matter particle and our estimate of the mass for the dark matter particle is μd ≈ (540±180)MeV. We contrast our estimates from CL0024+1654 data and the universal rotation curves of the spiral galaxies and discuss their consistency.

‌قید‌های تک Z روی مدل ماده‌ تاریک فرمیونی با واسطه شبه اسکالر در LHC

In this research we study the Mono-Z signature along with dark matter production at the LHC in a renormalizable dark matter model. We look at processes with L+L-+MET in the final state. We simulate signal and background events at central mass energy 14 TeV We then evaluate the LHC sensitivities for some points in the model parameter space for two integrated luminosities L=100 fb-1 and L=1 ab-1 ...

Properties of Dark Matter Halos in Disk Galaxies

We present a simple technique to estimate mass-to-light (M/L) ratios of stellar populations based on two broadband photometry measurements, i.e. a color-M/L relation. We apply the color-M/L relation to galaxy rotation curves, using a large set of galaxies that span a great range in Hubble type, luminosity and scale size and that have accurately measured HI and/or Hα rotation curves. Using the c...

The Mass distribution of the Most Luminous X-ray Cluster RXJ1347.5-1145 from Gravitational Lensing

Galaxy cluster mass distribution are potentially useful probes of Ω0 and the nature of the dark matter. Large clusters will distort the observed shapes of background galaxies through gravitational lensing allowing the measurement of the cluster mass distributions. In this paper we describe weak statistical lensing measurements of the most luminous X-ray cluster known, RXJ1347.5-1145 at z = 0.45...

Revealing the Properties of Dark Matter in the Merging Cluster Macs J0025.4−1222

We constrain the physical nature of dark matter using the newly identified massive merging galaxy cluster MACS J0025.4−1222. As was previously shown by the example of the Bullet Cluster (1E065756), such systems are ideal laboratories for detecting isolated dark matter, and distinguishing between cold dark matter (CDM) and other scenarios (e.g. self-interacting dark matter, alternative gravity t...

Measuring the Galaxy-Galaxy-Mass Three-point Correlation Function with Weak Gravitational Lensing

We discuss the galaxy-galaxy-mass three-point correlation function and show how to measure it with weak gravitational lensing. The method entails choosing a large of pairs of foreground lens galaxies and constructing a mean shear map with respect to their axis, by averaging the ellipticities of background source galaxies. An average mass map can be reconstructed from this shear map and this wil...
